I was born and raised in South Korea, a country celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and exquisite cuisine. My career began as an elementary school teacher, a role I held for 13 years. I completed my doctoral program regarding Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Education at Michigan State University, graduating in 2020.
My research primarily focuses on effective teaching practices among elementary school teachers, including prospective elementary teachers, in mathematics classrooms. I am currently analyzing data from my courses to investigate how prospective teachers engage in key teaching practices during number talks and general mathematics instruction.
